Gustav is hitting us, just rain and wind so far. 100,000 people in the state are already without power; mine'll probably go soon, so I won't be around much. I've eaten as many perishables as I possibly can, have pulled things out of the fridge so I won't have to open it, and filled up plenty of water:

Filled Water Bottles

Or as my Mom likes to say, Service for 20 in Nalgene. (Hi Mom!)

Y'all take care. Catch you on the flipside! =)

  1. Oh, be careful! I hope you keep your power on. Saying a prayer for you, friend.

  2. Do you have to evacuate? Hope the worst of it misses you and just fades to a lesser category.

  3. hello my dear! thanks for the updates. i've been thinking of you and all our brothers and sisters in Louisiana! i am glad you are prepared and ready! :) stay safe and dry! love you lots!

  4. Oh my goodness! Please be safe! I hope Abby doesn't get too scared, my girls and I are all sending our good luck that it won't hit too hard...

  5. Thanks y'all! Everything is ok, my power is back on after 27 hours, and there is only minor damage to my apartment. Phew. Most of the rest of the area is still without power, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. This one hit my town (Baton Rouge) really hard, but they are working 'round the clock to get everything back up and running, now that the wind has died down.

Nin, Abby was mostly just confused, but she is very glad that the AC is back. Her hair was starting to frizz. ;)

I heart my commenters! =)
